Spinning Around

The career began to take shape on 17 October 2025 at Dundalk, where Spinning Around broke through for that first win — always a significant moment for any young horse finding its feet. But the more telling result came on 4 May 2026 at The Curragh, one of Ireland's most prestigious tracks and a venue where only the better horses tend to shine. Winning there as a three-year-old is a meaningful marker. That race was only around two months ago, and with Spinning Around last seen just yesterday, this is clearly a horse in the thick of an active campaign.

The recent form figures — 5, 8, 1, 4, 1, 18 — tell an interesting story on their own. Read from right to left, you can see a horse that started in the rear, climbed into contention, won, slipped back, then won again. That kind of back-and-forth pattern is common in young horses still learning what racing is about. The 18th-place finish at the far end of that sequence looks like a distant memory now.

Spinning Around is trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien at Ballyroe in County Tipperary, a yard that has sent out 31 winners already this season — a strong output that speaks to an operation in fine form. A horse racing as recently as yesterday and trained by a yard firing on all cylinders is one to keep watching closely. At three, there is almost certainly more to come.
