Sorrento Sunset is a two-year-old still finding its feet on the racecourse. The horse has run twice without winning or placing, with a sixth-place finish in its most recent outing just a day ago. It is trained by
Daniel McLoughlin at Newbridge in County Kildare, a yard that has already sent out 9 winners this season, suggesting the trainer knows how to get horses ready to win even if this particular one has not yet clicked into gear. At this early stage in a young horse's career, a couple of races without a breakthrough is not uncommon — many horses need time and experience before they deliver their first win. Whether Sorrento Sunset will be one that improves with racing remains to be seen.
