The horse's first success came at Newcastle on 31 July, and a fortnight later it struck again at Kempton Park on 19 August. That recent win at Kempton, just days ago, shows Sonic Angel is active and in form right now. The sole blemish in the record is a seventh-place finish sandwiched between those two victories—a reminder that even promising young horses have their days—but the overall trajectory is unmistakably upward.
Sonic Angel is trained by Simon and Ed Crisford at their Newmarket yard, one of the country's leading training operations. The Crisfords have sent out 78 winners already this season, so the horse is in a stable with serious firepower and experience in getting young talent to the track ready to win. For a two-year-old with barely three races under its belt, that combination of early success and top-class training makes Sonic Angel one to watch closely over the coming months.
