Sonbelievable

Trained by Joseph Parr out of Newmarket — one of the spiritual homes of British racing in Suffolk — the horse at least finds itself in capable hands. Parr's yard has sent out six winners already this season, so the operation clearly knows how to get horses to perform. The question is when, or whether, Sonbelievable will join that list.

At just three years old, there is still time for the penny to drop. Plenty of horses take a few runs to figure things out, and with only three races under its belt, it would be harsh to write it off entirely. That said, finishing seventh, eighth, and ninth suggests it is not currently close to finding its best form — and with a race just yesterday, the yard will be watching closely to see whether anything from that latest run gives them a clue about where to go next.
