Sol Dorado

Sol Dorado is a 2-year-old horse trained by Marcus Tregoning, a trainer whose yard has already sent out 4 winners this season. The horse ran for the first time just over a day ago and did not finish in the money, finishing ninth. With only that single race under its belt, Sol Dorado is still very much at the beginning of its career, and there is little to judge yet beyond the fact that it raced and lived to race another day. Young horses often need time to settle into competitive racing, and a first outing tells you more about whether a horse can handle the experience than about where it might ultimately belong. Tregoning will have learned something from that first run, and what happens in the coming weeks will be far more telling of what Sol Dorado might become.
