She performed particularly well in her breakthrough race at Ffos Las, the track where she would add a second win almost a year and a half later. The challenge now is finding the right opportunities and getting her back to the track where she has shown her best form.

Her recent form is mixed. She was placed just over a week ago, which suggests the team at trainer Dianne Sayer's Hackthorpe yard in Cumbria haven't lost faith, but the fourteen-month gap between victories is a concern. The yard itself is in good health with fifteen winners this season, so Simply Ruby has the backing of a functioning operation. At Class 4 level — where she typically races — she has yet to get her head in front, though her overall win at Ffos Las came in that sphere. The next race could be crucial: if Simply Ruby can recapture the form that made her a winner at her best distance, there may yet be more wins to come.
