Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
That said, Silk Mountain raced just yesterday, which means the team are clearly keeping faith and finding opportunities. Trained by the husband-and-wife partnership of Jim and Suzi Best, based in Lewes, East Sussex, the horse is in a yard that has sent out 13 winners already this season — so the training operation clearly knows how to get a horse to win. The question is when, or whether, Silk Mountain will be the one to add to that tally.
For now, it remains a horse that keeps showing up without quite delivering. Sometimes that changes; sometimes it doesn't. Either way, the yard hasn't given up on it yet.
