The yard itself is in good health this season with 23 winners already, so Silenciosa is training among other improving types.

What makes her situation intriguing is the nine-month gap since that December win. She raced just once in the past week—a fifth place that was not a disaster—but the long drought without another victory might be starting to weigh on the yard and supporters alike. At three years old, there is still time for her to develop, and if the yard can get her back to form over her preferred mile or so, there could be another win waiting. For now, though, she remains a horse of real inconsistency, capable of bright moments but still hunting for the consistency that separates the useful from the merely average.
