Trained by Julia and Shelley Birkett at their Newmarket yard, Show Biz Kid arrived at its first win at Great Yarmouth in April 2025, then went quiet for over a year before breaking through again at Bath in May 2026 — a three-month spell of silence before its most recent outing. The horse has been ridden most often by Dylan Hogan, and when the two have worked together, results have improved sharply: Hogan has steered Show Biz Kid to one win from six races, a rate of roughly one in six, well above the horse's average. That gap suggests rider-horse chemistry matters here. Recent form has been mixed but active — three third-place finishes in the last six runs show the horse is running into the places without quite getting over the line, the kind of pattern that either suggests improvement building or a ceiling already found.
