Shirzan

Her recent form tells the story of a horse capable on her day but struggling to string performances together. Raced in the last six outings, she finished second and sixth, then tenth, then sixth again, before finally landing that breakthrough win at Limerick on 31 March 2026. Since that success half a year ago, however, things have tightened up: a third-place finish followed by a sixth in her most recent two races. He ran just a day ago, so he is actively campaigned by trainer P G Fahey at Nurney in County Kildare. Fahey's yard has recorded two winners this season, putting Shirzan in a modest operation rather than a high-volume powerhouse. For a horse carrying a 14 per cent career win rate and six months without a second victory, consistency remains the challenge — but the evidence of places in four of seven races suggests she belongs in the mix when conditions suit.
