She is trained by John C McConnell, based out of Stamullen in County Meath, and the yard is clearly operating well — 44 winners on the board this season is a serious number, the kind of output that suggests McConnell knows how to place a horse and find the right opportunity. The fact that She's A Gift hasn't capitalised on that expertise yet is what makes her situation interesting rather than straightforward. With a trainer in that kind of form, when the right race comes along, you'd back the team to find it. The question is whether She's A Gift can take advantage when she gets there.
