That means Seeyainthesuninn has spent its career at the most accessible end of the sport and still found it tough going. The win this week is real and should be celebrated, but it will be fascinating to see whether Hammond now tries to build on it at a similar level or tests the horse in deeper waters. For now, at least, Seeyainthesuninn has something it did not have a week ago: a winner's enclosure moment to its name, and a little momentum to work with.
