The two victories came at Wolverhampton in May and Doncaster in June, with the Doncaster win now three months old. But the really telling detail is Seet's preference for races over about a mile and an eighth to a mile and a quarter — at that distance, the horse has won 2 of 3 races, a 67 per cent win rate. That's the sweet spot, the distance where Seet looks like a proper runner rather than a work in progress. Raced by John and Thady Gosden's powerful Newmarket yard, which has already sent out 140 winners this season, Seet has the infrastructure and expertise behind it to keep improving. Given that the horse raced just a day ago, it's clearly active and being campaigned hard, which suggests the the yard see something worth backing. If Seet can get back to races over its preferred distance and recapture the form that brought victories at Wolverhampton and Doncaster, it could easily turn this promising record into something more substantial.
