Seagoing

Seagoing is a 2-year-old trained by Sir Mark Prescott, one of Britain's most respected horsemen, based at his famous Newmarket yard. The horse has raced twice without winning or finishing in the top three, finishing eleventh most recently and eighth before that. Given Prescott's record — his yard has already sent out 47 winners this season — early setbacks mean little at this stage. Young horses often need time to find their rhythm, and being trained by someone of Prescott's calibre suggests Seagoing has every chance to improve as it learns what racing is about. The horse is still actively racing, having been out just a day ago, so there will be plenty of opportunities to see if it can turn those early runs into something more competitive.
