Saoirse Silk
Saoirse Silk is a two-year-old with just one race to her name so far, finishing seventh on her only outing — which came just yesterday, so the slate is about as fresh as it gets. There is nothing to read into a single run at this age; two-year-olds are essentially learning on the job in their first few races, and a seventh-place finish tells you almost nothing about where a young horse might end up.Based on TrackLab's analysis

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
What is worth paying attention to is who is doing the teaching. Saoirse Silk is trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien out of Ballyroe in County Tipperary, a yard that has already sent out 33 winners this season alone. That is a serious operation, and horses that come through it tend to have plenty of opportunities to develop and improve. When a stable is firing out winners at that rate, even a horse still finding her feet is in good company.
One race in, the story is only just beginning.
