The most recent form tells a mixed story. Santiago Boy finished second just a day ago, which is encouraging, but that result came after finishes of second and third two races before that. Bookending those placed efforts were a fifth, a fourth, and an eighth—the kind of results that suggest the horse has found its level but is struggling to consistently deliver. For a 3-year-old still learning the game, however, inconsistency is not unusual, and the second-place finish last time out proves the engine is still firing.
