What makes Sandret genuinely interesting is its clear preference for distances between seven furlongs and a mile. Over that range, the horse has won 2 of its 5 races — a 40 per cent win rate that stands out sharply against its overall form. This is the distance window where it has shown real quality, and any chance of another win probably lies somewhere within that band. The horse's last victory came at Thirsk on 29 August 2025, a race run at the mile mark, now 13 months ago. That drought is significant for a horse still racing actively, suggesting Sandret is finding top-level competition tough these days.

Recent form has been patchy. In its last six races, Sandret has finished third, sixth, seventh, eighth, eighth, and sixth — plenty of effort, very little return. These are the sorts of results that keep a horse in the game without giving it a genuine chance to win.
