The quality of those wins tells the story. Chepstow on Boxing Day 2023, Sandown in December 2025, Windsor in January 2026 — these are big occasions, and Salver has shown up for all of them. That Windsor win is particularly telling, because trainer Gary Moore admitted afterwards it was something of a scramble to get there, the horse having run at Kempton just days before. His verdict was blunt: the ground at Kempton didn't suit, Windsor's track didn't suit, and yet the horse won anyway. "It just proves what a big-hearted horse he is," Moore said. That sort of comment from a trainer who has sent out 99 winners this season carries real weight.

Jockey Caoilin Quinn has partnered Salver in 13 of his 16 races, winning 5 of them — that same 1-in-3 ratio that runs through everything this horse does. It's a partnership built on familiarity, and it shows. The yard's post-Cheltenham comments hinted at even bigger ambitions: the Betfair Chase and the Charlie Hall were mentioned as potential targets, prestigious staying races where wet ground would help Salver express himself fully. Moore made that point more than once — this horse needs to get his toe in, and when the ground softens, the rest of the field slows down more than he does.

Currently active and having raced just one day ago, Salver is clearly being kept busy by a yard that knows what they have. The form across his last six runs reads 3-3-1-4-1-3, which looks like a horse bouncing around at the very top level rather than dominating — but that's the company he's keeping now, and the wins still keep coming.
