Salamis Bay

Trained by Gay Kelleway at her yard in Exning, Suffolk, Salamis Bay is part of a small but active operation that has sent out two winners already this season. Kelleway is a trainer worth knowing about — she was one of the first female jockeys to ride at the highest level in British racing, and has been training out of Suffolk for many years. Having a horse still searching for its first win is simply part of the game at any yard, and at three years old, Salamis Bay is still young enough that improvement remains entirely possible.

What is notable is that Salamis Bay raced just yesterday, so whatever comes next is likely not far away. Whether that next run finally produces a breakthrough remains to be seen, but the horse is clearly being kept busy and in a routine.
