What works in Rumbustious's favour is the stable it calls home. Charlie Johnston trains out of Middleham Moor in North Yorkshire, and this season the yard has sent out 128 winners — a number that tells you this is a seriously productive operation. Johnston is one of the most active and successful trainers in British racing, and horses from his yard tend to be placed in races where they have a genuine chance. The fact that Rumbustious hasn't won yet isn't necessarily cause for alarm; some horses simply take time to find their feet, and being part of a yard firing at that rate means the team around this horse knows what it's doing.

Having raced just yesterday, Rumbustious is very much a horse in the thick of its season. With five races under its belt and still only three years old, there is plenty of time to find the right opportunity — and with 128 winners already on the board from its trainer this year, you wouldn't bet against the Johnston yard eventually finding the right spot for it to break through.
