Those two wins have come in quick succession. The first arrived at Doncaster on 26 June 2026, and then, just weeks later, Rizal followed up at Hamilton Park on 17 July — this very week. Back-to-back wins at different tracks suggests this is not a horse that needs everything to go perfectly at one specific venue. It is simply running well right now, and with a race just one day ago, it is about as live and current as a racing profile can get.

The trainer is George Scott, operating out of Newmarket in Suffolk, which is the heartland of British flat racing. His yard has sent out 52 winners already this season — that is a serious number, and it tells you this is a well-oiled operation that knows how to have horses ready to perform. Rizal looks like one of the horses carrying that momentum.

One detail worth noting is the partnership with jockey Ben Coen. He has ridden Rizal in all six of the recorded races together and is yet to ride the horse to a win — 0 from 6. That is a curious footnote given that Rizal has clearly won races during this period, meaning those victories came with someone else in the saddle. It does not tell us anything is wrong, but it is the kind of thing a racing fan would file away and watch with interest going forward.

Overall, Rizal is a four-year-old in form, trained by one of Newmarket's busier yards, and coming off consecutive wins. Whatever has clicked into place in recent weeks, the results are speaking for themselves.
