River In Paradise

There is not much more to say yet — one race is one data point — but that single result matters more than it might seem. Many young horses take several runs just to figure out what racing is about, getting accustomed to the noise, the pace, and the pressure of competition. River In Paradise skipped all of that and went straight to the winner's enclosure on its very first outing. Whether that signals something special or was simply a good day against modest opponents, only time will tell. But the team will be watching the replay closely and dreaming about what comes next.
