River In Paradise has never raced before, which means everything is still unknown. No times, no results, no sense yet of whether the breeding has translated into the horse you actually want to see on a racetrack. Two-year-olds are famously unpredictable on debut — some take to it immediately, others need time and experience before the penny drops. What we do know is that the team have decided this horse is ready to run, which is a statement of quiet confidence in itself. Trainers do not waste entries.
The first race will tell us a great deal.
