His sole top-level success came at Kelso in May 2022, a Class 2 win that remains the high point of his career and suggests he is capable of rising above his usual company on his day. His first win arrived at Limerick in April 2022, and he has been ticking along at the lower grades ever since, last winning at Wexford three months ago.

Robbie Colgan is his most regular pilot, though the partnership has proved unrewarding: just one win from ten rides together, a 10 per cent return. That he continues to run suggests Karl Thornton's Skerries yard — which has sent out four winners this season — sees something worth persisting with. His recent form reads 2-3-6-3-1-19, a mixed bag that shows occasional sharpness (the recent second and third place finishes) alongside the kind of heavy defeats that come with a horse past his prime at nine years old. He raced just a day ago, so he is clearly still active and still competing, even if the wins are coming thinner than they once did.
