Revels

The shape of Revels' recent form tells an encouraging story. In the last four races, reading from most recent backwards: a tenth-place finish yesterday, a win at Goodwood three weeks ago, a ninth-place finish before that, and a win before that. So the horse has won two of the last four, most recently at Goodwood on 31 July. That Goodwood win came after a poor run, which suggests Revels can bounce back — a useful quality in any racehorse. The first career win came earlier in the summer, at Redcar on 18 May, so this is a young horse that has already found the winner's circle twice in just four outings. For a two-year-old still learning the game, that is solid progress. The fact that Revels was back in action just a day after a tenth-place finish shows the yard is not spooked by recent form and remains confident enough to keep racing.
