Reve Inoui

The recent form figures tell the same story in numbers: finishing fourth, eighth, ninth, and fifth in succession before the last two runs produced nothing at all. There is no upward curve here, no sign of a horse rediscovering itself. One place finish from seven attempts means Reve Inoui has run competitively enough to finish in the frame just once — and has not come close to winning on any occasion.

Based at Tramore in County Waterford, the horse is trained by J P Flavin, whose yard has sent out 10 winners already this season — so this is not a struggling operation. The trainer clearly knows how to get horses winning. The challenge with Reve Inoui seems to be finding a race where everything clicks, and at this stage of the horse's career, that opportunity may be running out.
