The form figures of 7-2-11 tell an interesting story. That second-place finish in the middle run is the obvious highlight — close enough to winning to suggest the ability is there, but the performances either side, finishing seventh and then eleventh, point to a horse that hasn't yet found any real consistency. At two years old, that isn't unusual. Young horses are still learning the job, still figuring out what racing actually asks of them, and a wide spread of results like this often just reflects a horse finding its feet.
What gives the stable some cause for optimism is who is doing the training. Michael Bell operates out of Newmarket — the heartland of British flat racing — and his yard has sent out 44 winners already this season. That is a yard in good form, with the staff and experience to bring a young horse along properly. Resemblance might not have won yet, but it is in capable hands, and at this stage of a two-year-old's career, simply gaining experience from each race is often the whole point.
