Rene's Gold is a five-year-old horse still searching for its first win after four races without a place finish. Trained by
Ross O'Sullivan at Kilcullen in County Kildare, the horse has yet to cross the line in the money, with recent outings producing finishes of 12th, 8th, 9th, and 8th. Despite the lack of success, the horse remained active just yesterday, suggesting the trainer still sees potential worth pursuing. O'Sullivan's yard has been busy this season, sending out 40 winners, so there is clearly some form about the place—it just hasn't touched Rene's Gold yet. For a five-year-old with no winners on the board after four attempts, things are not looking promising, but the horse continues to race, which means the team has not given up entirely.
