The six-year-old has raced 29 times in total and won twice, which works out at roughly 1 win in every 14 races. Those two wins came in quick succession during the summer of 2024 — first at Thirsk in June, then at Galway in July — and since then, nothing. That Galway win is now nearly two years old, and in racing terms, a horse that has gone 23 months without winning while finishing in the lower half of the field in its last six races is sending a pretty clear message.

Oisin Orr has partnered Reidh more than anyone else, riding the horse in 14 of its 29 races and picking up both of those wins along the way — a win rate of 14%, or just under 1 in every 7 rides together. That is actually a decent return by any measure, and it is worth noting that Orr was in the saddle for both career highlights. The trouble is that those wins feel like a long time ago now.

Reidh is trained by Adam Kirby, whose yard in Kirtling, Newmarket has sent out six winners this season — a small but active operation. Most of Reidh's races have come at Class 5 level, which is essentially the bread-and-butter end of the sport, and even there the horse has not managed a single win from nine attempts. That is the most revealing number in the whole profile: competing at the most accessible level of racing and still not breaking through. Reidh is not without ability — two wins prove that — but right now, the form suggests a horse that has gone quiet at a time when its team will be hoping something clicks back into place.
