That second place is the one flicker of encouragement in an otherwise flat recent run of results — a ninth, a twelfth, a tenth, and a thirteenth make up the rest, and that dash in the form figures points to a race where Realtin Fantasy didn't even finish. For a horse racing at 10 years old, consistency is often the best you can hope for, and right now consistency is proving hard to find.
The partnership with jockey Wayne Hassett hasn't clicked either. Thirteen races together and not a single win between them — 0 from 13 — is the kind of stat that quietly tells its own story. That said, W P Browne's yard has sent out two winners already this season, so there is some form in the camp.
