He is by Sir Bani Yas, a decent racehorse in his day, out of a mare by Th Richie. Neither name suggests outstanding bloodlines for racing, but pedigree alone does not determine what a horse will do on the day. What matters now is whether Rb Yas Sir has the pace, the temperament, and the will to race. His trainer will have their reasons for running him now rather than earlier or not at all. On his debut, we will find out whether those reasons were sound.
