That said, context matters. Being two years old means Razmataz is still very much a horse in the making. These early races are often as much about education as they are about results, and finishing 8th from three outings is not necessarily a disaster at this stage — horses can take time to figure out what is being asked of them.
The one genuinely encouraging factor here is who is doing the asking. That is a team that knows how to get horses ready to win, and they clearly believe enough in Razmataz to keep running the horse. When a stable of that quality persists with a young horse through three unspectacular runs, it usually means they see something at home that the racecourse has not yet seen. Whether Razmataz is about to reward that patience is the question worth watching.
