Queen Of The Andes

Queen Of The Andes made her debut just a day ago, finishing eighth in her first race as a 2-year-old. Trained by Eddie and Patrick Harty at their Curragh yard in County Kildare, she has plenty of time ahead of her — many horses take a race or two to settle into the rhythm of racing, and a first outing tells you far less than people think. The Harty yard has been in good form this season, sending out 16 winners already, so she is in a team that knows how to develop young talent. What happens next will matter far more than how she ran on debut.
