What makes Pure Legend interesting is not what it has already achieved, but the fact that it is still racing regularly. Kevin Ryan's yard at Hambleton has been in excellent form this season with 45 winners already, so there is every reason to think the horse remains part of an operation that knows how to get the job done. Pure Legend raced just a day ago, which shows the trainer is clearly working with the horse to find the right opportunity. Sometimes horses take time to settle and understand what racing demands of them. With active the yard still running the horse, and a trainer with a proven track record of bringing horses to form, this one may yet find a race suited to its abilities.
