To put that in perspective, winning a third of your races over a particular trip is the sort of record that tells you a trainer has found exactly the right conditions for a horse. One detail worth noting is that regular jockey Declan McDonogh has yet to get Princess Child into the winner's enclosure in six rides together. That's not necessarily anyone's fault — racing partnerships take time to click — but both of those wins have come without him in the saddle, which is a curious quirk in the story. She raced just one day ago, so she is very much in the middle of her season, and with the form she's shown over the past couple of months, there is every reason to think she can add to her tally. A horse that wins 2 from 6 recent races and places in two more is a horse in form, and in a yard firing on all cylinders, Princess Child looks like one to keep an eye on.
