This three-year-old has been prepared by Michael Bell at his Newmarket yard, one of the sport's most respected operations. Bell's team have sent out 44 winners already this season, which tells you this is not a yard that runs horses just to fill a field — when they saddle one up, they mean business. Poddle Park raced just one day ago, so whatever impression that run left, fresh conclusions are still being drawn.
With only one race to go on and no finishing position recorded, there simply isn't enough to say whether this is a horse who narrowly missed out or one who has plenty of learning still to do. Either way, coming from a yard with that kind of firepower this season, Poddle Park is worth keeping an eye on.
