Pirate Of Penzance

Pirate Of Penzance is a two-year-old in the Aidan O'Brien yard at Cashel, Co Tipperary, who made his racecourse debut just a day ago. He finished sixth on his first outing — a straightforward start for a young horse still learning the job. O'Brien's operation is one of the most successful in racing, with 125 winners sent out this season already, so there is every reason to think the colt will benefit from being in such a sharp yard where horses develop quickly. For now, it is early days, and a single run tells you almost nothing about what a two-year-old might become.
