Phlox
Phlox is a 3-year-old still hunting for a breakthrough after three races without a win or a placed finish. The horse has run in the last few days — most recently finishing fifth, then sixth, then fourth in the races before that — so clearly active and being given regular opportunities by trainer
J P Murtagh.

Our model's view, based on this horse's career and recent runs
Murtagh's yard at Coolaghknock Glebe in County Kildare has had a productive season, sending out 53 winners, so Phlox is in a stable with form and experience. For a young horse this early in its career with three races under its belt and nothing to show for them yet, regular racing is often the point — building experience, finding the right race, learning what racing is about. Time will tell whether Phlox can turn those runs into something tangible.
