Phantom Knight is a two-year-old still learning the ropes, having run twice without finding the winner's circle yet. Both attempts have come recently—the most recent outing just a day ago, where the horse finished seventh, then an eighth-place finish before that. The colt is trained by
Andrew Balding at Kingsclere in Hampshire, a yard that has already sent out 202 winners this season, so there is clearly genuine form and expertise on hand. Whether Phantom Knight will break through into the winners' enclosure remains to be seen, but a horse this young is still very much a work in progress.
