Petite Poet is a four-year-old still in search of a breakthrough after three races without a win or a place finish. Trained by
Mrs C Williams at Llancarfan in the Vale of Glamorgan, the horse has found the step up in competition challenging so far, with recent form reading 4-12-5 across the last three outings. The yard itself has had a modest season, with three winners sent out overall, suggesting Mrs Williams is working with limited resources but continues to race her horses regularly. With Petite Poet having run just a day ago, the trainer is clearly keeping the horse active and searching for the right opportunity and conditions to spark improvement. At this point in its career, a win remains the next clear target.
