That consistency explains why it keeps lining up at that level; it is competitive without being dominant. Its first career win came at Southwell in November 2024, and its most recent came at Wolverhampton in January 2025. Both are all-weather tracks, which is worth noting — Payment Plan has found its wins on artificial surfaces rather than turf. Its regular partner is jockey Lewis Edmunds, who has been aboard for 5 of its 15 races and has shared that January 2025 win. The big question mark hanging over Payment Plan right now is time. It has not raced in roughly 10 months — a long absence by any measure — and its recent form before that break read 5th, 5th, 5th, 7th before a 2nd and then a win.
