Win rate and top-3 rate will show once this horse has raced.
The timing of a debut at five years old is unusual enough to raise eyebrows. Most racehorses run for the first time as three or four-year-olds, so Passive Idaho has had a patient preparation. Whether that reflects a physical issue that needed time to resolve, a late discovery of racing potential, or simply the way Norman Lee's yard operates, only the race will tell. Lee trains from Gort and has sent out just one winner so far this season, so this is not a high-volume operation with resources to spare. That makes each runner worth watching carefully. There is something honest about a smaller yard — they tend not to run horses unless they genuinely believe they have a chance. With no form book to hide behind and a debut on unfamiliar ground, Passive Idaho will need to show something tangible from the start.
