Passing Thought

The colt made a winning debut at Hamilton Park on 22 September 2025, then picked up a second victory at Wetherby on 26 April 2026. That win at Wetherby came five months ago, and since then form has been harder to come by — the last six races show a sixth-place finish most recently, followed by a fifth, a ninth, a fourteenth, a win, and a seventh. It is a pattern that suggests the horse is still finding its level, mixing decent efforts with some tougher days. The inclusion of three placings outside the wins shows Passing Thought can run in the frame, even when not quite getting across the line, which hints at some consistency.

With racing only a day ago, the horse is clearly active and being given regular opportunities. At this age and with this record, Passing Thought appears to be a horse still in development, one capable of better days but not yet a regular winner. Ed Walker's yard will be the key to whether the colt can string together more victories and climb the ladder — the trainer has shown the ability to produce winners this season, so there is every chance Passing Thought could be primed for an improved run.
