Parish Team

The horse races for trainer J S Bolger, who operates from Coolcullen in County Carlow and has already saddled eight winners this season—a sign that the yard knows how to get horses to the winners' enclosure. That Parish Team has not managed it yet, despite regular racing, suggests the horse may need either a change in conditions, a different type of race, or more time to mature. Having raced just a day ago, the horse is being kept active, which is often the trainer's way of finding the right fit rather than abandoning a prospect. Whether that next race will bring the first win remains to be seen, but Parish Team is still young enough and still racing, which means the jury is very much out.
