What is worth paying attention to, though, is who has her in their care. Archie Watson's yard at Upper Lambourn has sent out 63 winners already this season, which is a serious operation by any measure. A trainer running at that volume and that level of success tends to know which horses are worth persevering with. The fact that Paris Babe is in that setup at all is a decent indication that there may be more to come.
Sixth from one run tells us almost nothing — horses can finish down the field on debut for all sorts of reasons, from inexperience to simply needing the outing to get fit and learn the job. One race is barely a sample size. Check back in a few months.
