The horse runs in Class 4 races, the mid-tier level where competition is serious but not elite. At that grade, winning one in five (20%) is respectable work, though Paper Mill's overall win rate across all races stands at just 22%, or roughly one win from every four-and-a-half attempts. That modest return masks a horse with some durability: four of its nine races have brought places, so it regularly gets into the frame even when it doesn't win. Paper Mill's breakthrough came at Uttoxeter in late November 2025, but the more encouraging pattern is what has happened since. Two wins from the last six races means the horse is finding its stride in its tenth year. For an animal still actively competing at this age and still capable of surprising people, that is the kind of form that keeps the yard hopeful and punters interested. It is a horse that deserves watching.
