Going 0 from 4 at that level suggests she is finding even that grade a tough ask for now. The honest reality is that, at this stage, Pam's Sonnet has not shown the form to suggest a win is imminent, though young horses can take time to find their feet and figure out what racing is all about.

Her trainer, Tim Vaughan, operates out of Aberthin in the Vale of Glamorgan and has sent out nine winners already this season, so the yard clearly knows how to get horses to perform. Whether Pam's Sonnet can tap into that and finally get her head in front remains to be seen, but with a trainer in decent form and a team willing to keep running her, the hope is still very much alive.
