Palace Tyne

What stands out is how busy Palace Tyne has been. Racing just yesterday, this is a horse very much in the middle of its campaign, and trainers rarely keep running a horse this regularly unless they believe there is something worth finding. Padraig Roche, who trains out of Coolaghknock Glebe in County Kildare, has sent out eight winners already this season, so the yard clearly knows how to get horses into the winner's enclosure. The fact that Palace Tyne has not joined them yet does not mean the belief has gone — it may simply mean the right race has not come along yet.

At three years old, Palace Tyne is still young enough that patience makes sense. Some horses take time to work out what is being asked of them, and a yard with Roche's current momentum is unlikely to keep running a horse without a plan. Whether that plan comes together soon is the question — but with a race just yesterday and presumably more to come, the answer should not be too long in arriving.
