What is worth noting, however, is the stable behind the horse. Sir Mark Prescott Bt is one of the most respected trainers in British racing, operating out of Newmarket in Suffolk, and his yard has sent out 48 winners already this season — a serious number that tells you this is not an outfit that runs horses without a plan. Prescott is famously patient and meticulous, and horses in his care often take time to find their feet before stepping forward sharply. That context does not guarantee anything, but it means Pace Attack is in experienced hands.
The horse raced just yesterday, so this is very much an active campaign still unfolding. Two races is a small sample, and at three years old there is plenty of time for the picture to change. For now, Pace Attack is one to watch rather than one to back — but given who is doing the training, it would be unwise to write it off entirely.
