That's a significant jump in performance, and it suggests the horse is learning and improving with experience. Whether that improvement continues to the point of winning is the open question.
With only two races to go on, it's genuinely too early to draw firm conclusions. Some horses take time to hit their stride, and Overpass raced just yesterday, so there's clearly more to come from this story. For now, it's one to watch rather than one to celebrate.
