One Shot Kodi

What stands out is the recent consistency. One Shot Kodi finished second and second in its last two races before a fourth, seventh, and eighth in earlier outings. That back-to-back pairing suggests the horse is getting closer to winning, even if it hasn't quite found the tape first. Kevin Ryan's Hambleton yard has already sent out 45 winners this season, so there is real training quality behind this horse. Ryan knows how to get two-year-olds to the track in peak condition. One Shot Kodi was last out just a day ago, which means the yard is keeping it sharp and racing regularly—a sign they believe another chance is coming soon. Whether this young horse converts one of those near-misses into a victory will tell us whether it has a proper future in the game.
